Us and Them

They hate us and choose to be a "them".

There is one reason above all others why people are being imprisoned and having their lives ruined for doing nothing more than pointing out the truth about Islam. At all costs to ancient freedoms and justice the British government feel they must prevent an “us and them” mindset from forming in the British people with the native population along with most ethnic groups on one side and the Muslims on the other. Recent history throws up many examples from Bosnia to Rwanda of what happens when people begin to view their neighbours as the other, as a “them”. Once that happens each attack from one group on the other becomes the pretext for revenge as that country slides toward civil war. That is why our leaders with the memory of the Northern Ireland “Troubles” still fresh in their minds will do just about anything to avoid antagonising Muslims.

That same Northern Ireland conflict that was only just contained yet still cost thousands of lives and tens of billions of pounds. Northern Ireland where every regiment of the British Army took its regular turn in a miserable 30 year operation to prevent Protestants and Catholics from massacring each other. Northern Ireland which dominated the news and cast gloom and suspicion across the entire country year in and year out. Northern Ireland that also cost the lives of several senior figures, normally so safe and cocooned, and consequently the peace of mind of the whole establishment. And finally all that from a Northern Ireland with just 3% of the British population!

Imagine a war 30 times greater in scale with no mighty benefactor across the seas willing to sacrifice its young men and vast amounts of wealth to keep the antagonists apart. That’s what keeps the government awake at night. That’s why Cameron tries so hard after each atrocity to convince us of the ridiculous proposition that it has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam. That’s why he drones on about the massive contribution that Muslims make to British society. That’s why anyone who demonstrates against Islamisation must be ruined. That’s why people are not to be allowed to burn a koran or mock Islam. That’s why nobody has ever been jailed for any of the more than 100,000 cases of FGM. What’s the ghastly mutilation of thousands of women against maintaining social peace? That’s why the Rotherham rape gang were allowed to ply their evil for more than a decade in open view and also why this story of the decade sank without trace within weeks. That’s why Islamic protestors are allowed to get away with incitement to murder. The government are prepared in fact to do just about anything to prevent Britain descending into a country of us and them.

Now considering the ghastly spectre of civil war on the streets of Britain, you may still consider the government’s cowardly cringe in the face of endless provocation justifiable. After all no price is too high to keep us all safe, right?

Wrong.

Wrong because in clamping down on freedom of speech the government is throwing away the most effective weapon against the profoundly irrational and ridiculous ideology of Islam. We should be giving Mohammad the same Life-of-Brian treatment 24/7 that killed off Anglicanism rather than walking on eggshells.

Wrong because weakness in the face of intimidation only encourages further outrages.

Wrong because appeasing those with imaginary grievances never works and that goes double for appeasing supremacists with imaginary grievances.

Wrong because the unjust policy of pandering to Muslim feelings; of enabling mass Muslim immigration; of lying about Islam; and of tolerating their intimidation is actually the main factor in creating the us-and-them Britain they are struggling to keep at bay.

From the way they behave, you’d think it was actually British government policy to lay the groundwork for a civil war.

  1. I wrote some words of support for what you have written, and I've deleted them. You are so right. We are talking about cowardice, and appeasement, and good intentions opening the road to a kind of hell. If we are engaged in defensive warfare on our own territory five years from now, the ones that put us in that situation will be well away from here.

It is sometimes said of Mr Chamberlain's dealings in 1938 that by delaying Great Britain's entry into open war for a year, we cleverly allowed ourselves a breathing space to prepare for the 'inevitable' conflict. It seems much more likely to me that our government was at that time engaged precisely as you describe, in a futile attempt to wish away any thought of conflict in our population, even if it meant wholesale lying about the character and intentions of the enemy of those times. Mr Chamberlain's government, and more specifically a treacherous Foreign and Colonial Office, would sacrifice anything to avoid conflict in the future. The cost of that was the cost not only of 1938, but of a much longer period where warfare was disdained with such fine, inclusive, sentiments that our armed forces were run down and our morale as a nation was systematically reduced so that appeasement was bizarrely considered by many to be an moral and practical approach to dealing with monsters.

So it is today - we have governments increasingly forced to portray black as white in order to protect their fundamental errors from being exposed. Their cunning strategies are actually as likely to succeed as Baldrick's various schemes involving turnips. We urgently need the right of recall, to forcibly re-align our official politics with the reality of the world, however frightening it may be to them. If our own government is unamenable to the forcibly expressed wishes of its own people, then it will indeed provoke the very thing it fears, a civil conflict.

  2. The reason the government do not want to turn the natives (in alliance with other cultures) against the muslims is that if this happened NOW then mass immigration might be halted. If they can keep things rolling along as they are, peacefully, for a few years more before it kicks off, they know they will manage to get so many more in by then, so many that the country will be much less able to defend itself from 'cultural change'. The aims of Merkel etc are not really peace and justice (or even power or money) rather it is the destruction of that which they hate - civilised countries. They are like this because they are left-wing in their wiring. It has nothing to do with reason or logic or self-interest - this is just how the left are wired to be. Eg where was the power or money for Edward Heath? None, yet he remained a fanatic for the cause. This is why the left were so ecstatic when they replaced S.Rhodesia with Zimbabwe. Their aim is to do the same to their own country.
